No, I'm not counting action RPGs that happen to be made in Japan like Dark Souls. Games like Ys VIII and Xenoblade count, since they are very much JRPGs. Each Poke'mon entry will only count once, regardless of Nintendo always releasing 2-3 versions of the same Poke'mon game. Fire Emblem games aren't going to be counted towards this, but Valkyria Chronicles 4 will be. DragonQuest builders doesn't count, because it's more of a minecraft type of game. Digital-Only releases of games to the e-Shop don't count either.
Persona 5 will eventually get a portable Switch edition.
Falcom's Legend of Heroes series will come to Switch.
There's still a big market for portable RPGs out there. 3DS has a massive JRPG library, and now it looks like all that JRPG goodness has nowhere to go but Switch. Games like Octopath, YS VIII, SMTV, and Valkyria Chronicles 4 show that JRPG devs are already making the transition.Last edited by Cerebralbore101 - on 13 January 2018
