Looking at the results we can see that both the XxX and Nintendo Switch have managed to penetrate the phone market's dominance.
On the XxX side, this may potentially lead to more of these mid-gen upgrades.
Hopefully the Switch's success will prompt Nintendo to avoid the plastic toy design philosophy in the future.

Either way, the gaming industry seems to be making some fantastic strides into the mainstream this year.
Maybe with volume sales, we can avoid microtransactions...
Or publishers will try to go for both.

This just says that people care about phones WAY too much.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Pretty much.
Luckily for Nintendo, the Switch kind of looks like one.

I don't get why people would search for a phone. A phone's just a phone.

People wan a Switch lol and nobody understands wtf an Xbox X is haha!

Worst part is they were probably searching for phones... on their phone

It's impressive that both these consoles managed to hit the top 5. I'm especially surprised with One X hitting #5.

For comparision, last year the switch was #9, and ps4 pro/vr was nowhere to be seen.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

November NPD showed us that consoles trending on internet search engines doesn’t actually equate to much. PS4/ Pro were supposedly nowhere to be seen on that Adobe BF/ CM article, with Switch being the declared #1 dominating seller, and yet PS4 came out on top. Outsold Switch by 2:1 in the US, if I’m not mistaken.

Thats because consoles are more relevant, new smartphones come out every year. You can pretty much get a cheap chinese phone are done for 10 years.

Why would they if the Switch is selling that well? Unless you think the Switch isn't a plastic toy more than an actual piece of technology, which I would disagree with.
