Forums - Microsoft Discussion - PUGB on XB1 drops to 4fps, issues also on XB1X- Digital Foundry

PUGB has severe fps and texture issues on both the One and X.

It begs the question, should a company be charging for a poorly optimised and unfinished game?

If PC was so good, they'd be able to insert a slideshow mode in their games

#4fpsandterribletexturesmasterrace

Given how it runs on quite expensive PC's, this is no surprise... I honestly wondered how they'd optimize it for consoles when they've shown no ability to do so on PC's.

Seem well paid money for the moneyhatt microsoft did to prevent it to come to ps4 for a couple of months.

I enjoyed how they did the contrast with both being on the same screen.
Also made it easier to see the improvements from the X1X.
The "spectate" mode gave an interesting comparison also.

I'm looking forward to the three way X1X/XBs/PC comparison they mentioned.

  • Deadliest high school shooting in US history (02/14/2018)

Oh man, this video comment section will be a joy to read.So many angry dudes from multiples sides.

Ah, I see someone beat me to it.

Yeah ...

Can't believe they were talking about going to 60 fps not so long ago :P

Man, I still can't believe this game was going on against such great games as P5, Horizon Zero Dawn, BOTW and Super Mario Odyssey. That's a terrible joke !

The thing is, they explicitly sold it as an unfinished game. So, I think that its performance is not really the issue, the issue is whether or not selling unfinished games before release is a good idea.

Companies already sell poorly optimized full price finished games, why would they not be allowed to sell games clearly marked early access/game preview?
