The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals Winning Post 8 2018, the latest entry in Koei Tecmo’s horse racing simulation game series, for PlayStation 4, Switch, PS Vita, and PC.

Winning Post 8 2018 will launch on March 15, 2018 in Japan. It will cost 7,800 yen on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC, and 6,800 yen on PS Vita.

The horse racing simulation game includes the 2018 race program and latest racehorse data. The latest data also includes overseas GI races such as “The Everest.

Really gotta wonder how these do financially. I know some sports games make a tonne with annual releases. But annual releases of a Japan exclusive horse racing game? That can't be that big of an earner, surely?

The amount of people buying it might warrant the continuation of the series.

Continuation of the series, sure, but as an annual release? Are there really that many people re-buying it every year?
