Over 295 of them indie devs.

That doesnt count kimmy. That doesnt count.

He said publishers. I'm not sure Indies would count. Maybe, maybe not.

Nintendo has some restrictions though, it's not like the app store. I think a lot of them are probably real publishers.

Is it so hard to believe? The Switch is getting a lot of momentum right now, developers are being pressured by the market. Some of them even had to explain themselves not too long ago

Kimishima says ‘including indie developers’ in the quote, so I think they are counted. Either way it’s still a lot.

Thats great to hear!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Considering that games like Stardew Valley, Rocket League, ARK or PUBG are made by indie developers, I'd say that they do count.

OT: It's obvious that having a successful platform helps getting more support, but we can't deny that Nintendo is also doing a far better job at getting that support than they did in the past.

In any case, that's great news for Switch owners.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I'll be picking up Rocket League and a few others this holiday. It's not often there's this wide a selection of good third party games that I can't get all that I want at once :D

It's been a long time since I bought a game not made by Nintendo or an "indie" so this is all breddy gud in my book.

Wait a sec... Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to Switch. Missed that news.  Although seeing that it is f2p with micro transactions kind of scares me.  I'd honestly rather pay 5 dollars a month to support servers than have microtransactions.

I wish they'd show Dragon Quest XI Switch already. I'm trying to see if I'll need the PS4 version or not.

In what possible way will the Switch version convince you to buy it over the PS4 version? It will look and run worse and more expensive due to cartridges.

Even with a good chunk of that number being indie developers (at least from what I've gathered in the thread so far), I totally agree that this is good news for the Switch. Especially so early into the console's lifecycle! Now we have to hope that it doesn't taper off later =p gotta be a long play
