Forums - Sony Discussion - 33 PS4 games for October 2017

Busy month for me. I need a girlfriend, or at least some pills, for my Dragon's Dogma PS4 playthrough. It's could be very emotional. I think South Park TFBH will be up first, so that'll give me a bit more time to meet somebody/score some pills.

I think their will be more than 60 releases, a lot of indie stuff and games with no releasedate always end up getting released (Jak II probably).

I hope Hidden Agenda will be good and will become a hit just like Until Dawn.

Nintendo has come a long way

No, those are just games we know about. Every week there's at least a handful of games that we don't know about that gets released. Also, obviously the biggest system in the world has more big games.

For information, there was around 20 PS4 games released in the last week of September on the AU store. That's just 1 week.

Quantity of indies does not make up for quality :D

But credit to Nintendo supporting Indies, they knew it would be difficult at the start of the consoles life to get the numbers of games out of the door... and its the right idea... is exactly what Sony did at the start of their gen to fill the gaps. The big difference is Sony no longer need to rely on them. Thats where Nintendo need to get next, having a varied range of games and having games on third party. I think its looking ok for Nintendo, lots of companies making good noises because of how well the switch is selling, now it needs nintendo users to show support for those 3rd parties so they continue making games at the same time as PS/XBOX.

Every time a kickstarter game releases, I get more concerned about future kickstarter games.

Why? It has been a great year for Kickstarter releases so far:

Thimbleweed Park with MetaScores from 83 to 86 (the Switch version will get there, too)

Divinity: Original Sin 2 with a MetaScore of 95

Torment: Tides of Numera with a MetaScore of 81

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero with MetaScores from 76 to 82

Paradigm with a MetaScore of 86

Bertram Fiddle 2 and The Journey Down 3 with good first reviews and user scores

Don't forget Friday the 13th: The Game. I've actually played it more than any other game this year. It might have very mixed reviews on metacritic, but it's an online only digital title, that had huge teething problems to begin with, and only recieved 15 reviews. I expect it might get more favourably reviewed upon it's physical release. Especially considering the patches that have fixed a lot of the initial problems.

For me, I will get a Hat in Time. It looks supurb. Also, Megaton Rainfall. I will probably check out:
Assassin Creed Origins,
GTSport
AER

We thank you for this great thread !!
