Looking forward to see their progress on these Pokèmon games.

i am still thinking that arceus is a rushed game considering how long it takes to produce an open world game and how much it took nintendo to develop breath of the wild so it becomes a life changing experience and set a new standard for the franchise.
I mean, how much were they on the work? it feels like they barely spent two years on it, and knowing how incopetent gamefreak are, that game is somehow (logically) shaping to be shallow, empty and limited in content otherwise it won't make any sense.
Once again i am keen to be proven wrong, but that didn't happen for more than a decade with gamefreak, in fact they manage to dissapoint me everytime and go below my expectations eventhough i set them really low at every new pokémon game announcement.

I guess they started design an open world game back in 2017, so you have 4 years of development. The Wild Area in Sword and Shield was very likely and experiment for them to learn how to design open maps

Honestly, time here is not my concern, they had enough time to make a decent 20 hours long open world game. My concern is how dreadful is Sword and Shield Wild Area, it's ridiculously trash, ugly, half finished and a pain to explore

Now I can't help but think Arceus will be nothing but a bigger Wild Area and this is what is really concerning. It's hard to believe a studio like Game Freak in 2021 still don't know how to properly build 3D spaces and environment

Still, I'm curious to see what is coming. Game Freak have a place in my book as the worst studio developer in the world and I want to see if they will prove me wrong

While Pokémon's not my cup of tea, about freaking time with that Direct, BD/SP is only 3 months away.
Interested to see more of Legends; hopefully its gotten a lot of polish since its reveal. If they play their cards right (har har) I reckon it could manage to sell to folks who weren't enticed by Let's Go, Sword/Shield, or the Diamond/Pearl remake.

That's good news for Metroid Dread. Let's hope it does well. It's still pointless to preorder though.

Dread being above Pokemon is pretty much proof of this not meaning much of anything though. I mean in general the fact that Pokemon Double Packs are often above the individual games themselves show only a small niche really pre-orders.
