The Nintendo Switch’s lineup of notable games for the rest of the year:

Mario Golf: Super Rush - June 25th

Monster Hunter Stories 2 - July 9th

Skyward Sword HD - July 16th

Nothing in August (That I’m aware of)

WarioWare, Life is Strange Collection, and Life is Strange: True Colors- Sept. 10th

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania - Oct. 5th

Metroid Dread - Oct. 8th

Mario Party Superstars - Oct. 29th

Shin Megami Tensei 5 - Nov. 12th

Pokemon BD/SP - Nov. 19th

Advance Wars 1+2 - Dec. 3rd

Looks like a pretty solid lineup overall, but unless they have one more big, blockbuster game for this year, I don’t think this will be enough to make 2021 the Switch’s peak year. I was hoping Breath of the Wild 2 would be that game, but obviously that’s not the case.

No More Heroes 3 is in August.

The rumoured double pack of Wind waker and TP might also be announced for this year. After skyward swords launches likely.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Remember back when Zelda and Metroid had their 25th anniversaries in the same year and THIS was a thing?

Now it's their 35th anniversaries and Metroid is the one that gets the spiffy, shiny new mainline game and all Zelda gets is a remaster (albeit, of my favorite Zelda game of all time, which ironically enough is the SAME EXACT game that came out for the 25th anniversary) and an expansion pack of a spinoff.

Oh, how the tables have turned!!!

Ok, the chozo statue only having the chozo crack it's middle finger through is an amazing detail that I really appreciate!

Phew, it turned out alright after all; Metroid Dread and BOTW2 were the only things I cared for, but those two alone where enough to redeem the show.

It was on at 2am here and while I tried to sleep and catch it in the morning I was so nervy I only got two hours sleep so now I'm basically a Redead.

Surprised you're not mentionning your fav ghost hunting game series being on the Switch now ;)

It's a port so to Curl it might as well not exist. (Which is fair)

Alchy beat me to it but as I already own it on Wii U and have since 2015, it being brought to Switch doesn't really do anything for me. That said, I suppose at least it shows they haven't entirely forgotten about the IP so maybe we'll get Fatal Frame 6 someday.

Going to be honest, didn't know you liked Metroid/2D Metroid (or didn't remember). Man of culture right here.

Though I'm half-expecting to get a reply along the lines of "oh nah, I don't actually care about Metroid, it's just a big new game on Switch so it made me happy"

Metroid's cool. It's kinda like Zelda for me in that I love some of them and dislike others. Anyway, Dread looks badass, definitely getting it. I just hope Samis keeps quiet this time, I still have nightmares about Other M haha.

She was quiet in Samus Returns. They'll keep her profile clean don't worry :P

Good, hopefully they're self-aware enough to realize how poorly received her portrayal in Other M was and keep her the way we loved her in prior entries. She's one of those characters that just works better as a silent protagonist.
