Crash Bandicoot 4 is out now on Switch; I just got back from the shops with my copy, and fired up the first level.

Going by the first 10 minutes, it plays very well and looks vibrant and appealing. Seems like a quality port of a quality game.

Still nobody selling it here, so I guess Hades is the only game Ill get this month.

Yeah it's weird, I could only find the one store that was getting it, our version of Gamestop, EB Games, didn't have it available, which is normally where I get all my games from. You don't do digital? Switch is region free so you could always import a physical copy.

I only download digital only titles like GnG Resurrection. Unless its like 95% off like Runner 3 was. With the shipping cost and import toll charges in my country, I dont feel like importing it. Its ok though. If Activison is making it this difficult, then fuck it. Ill get it used or something. Im sure some people have imported it and didnt like it.

Awesome Curl, Switch is getting recognized, hope Resident Evil 2 remake, Madden, and Call of Duty, make Switch appearance's if that happens Nintendo Japan CEO should get a raise.

Personally I wouldn't bet on any of those specifically, but it is nice to get games like Crash 4. Third party support has definitely improved since 2017.

Anyone here bought/played Gnosia yet? Really liked the trailer on the estore and it's getting some good reviews. Reminds me a lot of the Zero Escape titles, especially the character designs.

Apparently it got a spot in the last direct for Japan but not the english direct for some reason. If you're interested in the Famicom Detective Club games, definitely check it out.

Had a 12 hours session last weekend and all I can say is that I like the philosophical approach and experimental the game is going for with it's story structure (by the use of loops). Yet, it is clear that you do need to like some of the repetitive aspects of the debate which obviously becomes more layered and complex depending on the settings you wanna use. A highly modulable experience I should say.

Bravely is a bit meh so far. Gameplay is fine, some of the changes work, and some not as much. But the story just isn't grabbing me yet. It's a little too basic, even moreso than the beginning of the first Bravely game. The other two games introduced some clever wrinkles later on, so I'm hoping that's the case here as well.

Without spoiling anything, Chapter 3 is where the story actually picks up in interesting bits I'd say.

I'm towards the end of Chapter 4 I think/

Man, Crash 4 is SO freaking good!

Not only is the core game superb, with a great balance of tough but fair, elegant level design, and tight controls, but it's easily one of the best ports of an 8th gen game to Switch, the experience never feels compromised or cut back.

Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys platformers, provided you don't mind a challenge.

If you try to go for 100% in this game, I dare you to say all that again.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Only about 13 days till Monster Hunter Rise!

I'm not a completionist, just getting through the game is enough for me. Heck, I've even loved some games I never even managed to finish.

Fully beat Bravely Default 2. What a treat!
