I have a SNES but if I didn't, there's no way I'd be interested in this because of what they did with the NES classic. This thing is going to be scalped and sold for three times what it's worth, along with it's controllers.

Well, I have an SNES and a huge collection of titles. Did NES Classic launch with a previously unreleased title? No? That is probably why I do not own one. I think I will just ignore NES Classic entirely while buying my SNES Classic.

What about the Super Famicom classic edition?

I can't find the list of games for that version anywhere.

Lots of good ones, but it is missing most of my favourites including Soul Blazer, Illusion of Time, Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, Ogre Battle, Lufia 2, Final Fantasy 4, Breath of Fire, Breath of Fire 2, DKC2, DKC3, Turtles in Time, Uncharted Waters, New Horizons, Harvest Moon, and Uniracers.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Notable absentees: Chrono Trigger (how the fuck did they not get this in there?..seriously), DKC2, Turtles in Time, Actraiser

Oh yeah. Turtles in Time should be in there as well.

It's not 100% necessary.  If your TV has a USB port, you can literally plug your system into that.  Anyways, I'm kinda glad I won't have yet another USB to AC adapter in my house.

Oh? If that's really how it works then *fury intensifies* went down one level.

I mean, I don't know FOR SURE, but the NES Classic (and other high end NES systems like the RetroUSB AVS) could be powered by anything with a USB port, including your TV if it has one.

I don't even know if my TV has a USB port, I've never used it if it does.

You could always power it through your computer, or your PS4, or even your Switch dock?

Ok I have to go home now and plug my NES Classic into my Switch dock and see if it works.

Obviously it's missing out on tons of good games because the game library are SNES is phenomenol. They loaded it up with Nintendo titles I'm sure so they can make more money - pay out less in licensing fees for the third party games (if I counted correctly there's only about 9 third party games in the list). Woulda been nice to have a few more games though.

Chrono Trigger and FFIV would have made this machine total RPG heaven! But its already an RPG beast with the games it does have. Would have really liked to have Breath of Fire games, Lost Vikings, and a few other that you mentioned. oh well. It's still a fantastic 21 game list.

Well, good luck with all that. I'm not willing to go through all the constant headaches trying to procure a $300.00 dollar system with $150.00 controllers just to play one little unreleased game that will (mark my words) probably launch on the VC in a few years.

Well, that is what you should have said in the first place. There is no argument for that. What you are willing to do is completely up to you. But having an SNES right now does not solve the StarFox 2 game. I was merely allowing you to see the differences between how Nintendo approached NES Classic and SNES Classic so you can understand how in my eyes, your words were silly.

But I respect that it is simply not something you are willing to jump through hoops to get. Nobody should have to jump through hoops or pay scalper prices if they do not want to.

When I compared NES and SNES classic, I was only talking about the scalping prices and stress invovled. It's not my definition of fun, sitting around my laptop and phone, checking every two seconds for months in the hopes of being the person who manages to snag a console that is going to be sold at scalped prices. I mean, no.
