Gonna be straight up here, the DLC sucks. Doesn't add to the best thing about the game (exploration) and instead focuses on the average parts (combat). This would be like Splatoon getting DLC but only for it's storymode... oh right, they're also doing story DLC despite having the worst story in a Zelda game, let alone in general. It's $20 which isn't a bad price but the content just isn't good enough especially when Nintendo has so many games on the horizon, so I'm skipping out on this.

The worst story in a Zelda game? This is the first time I've heard anyone say that. I am currently playing through Breath of The Wild on Switch and absolutely love it. I like the story so far, love the combat and tough enemies like the Lynel.

As for the DLC, I agree and I am skipping on it.

Combat isn't the weakest part of the game. That would be the "dungeons".

They give a release window for those new amiibos? If I can find them I may finally get one.

With the new story dlc, there also should be some kind of 5th dungeon. I hope not that it is another one of these beasts. I just want a prober traditional dungeon somewhere hidden. Also, without that ancient blue design.

I think the best practice for releasing DLC is to create different kinds. Like, I have zero interest in "arena" DLC but I know others like it so I'm fine with it. Not everything has to be for me. I personally loathe entitled baby-heads who think something sucks just because it's not what they're interested in.

That being said, I am not a fan of making people pay $20 for a higher difficulty. Not when you look at other games like Fallout 4, where they released a Survival Mode that changes a lot of the game mechanics for free. Actually, $20 seems to be a steep price but it depends on how much content is added. Not real impressed with Hero's Path and Travel Medallion being DLC, either, but there has been worse. Hero's Path seems like it would have been a great free update.

I guess the plan is to pack in stuff to make that $20 seem like a value. I am understanding this correctly, right? You HAVE to buy the Expansion Pass? You can't buy any of it separately?

I found the DLC weak too.

Only the "new" "dungeon" in the DLC 1 interest me.

As for DLC 2, we'll see. I'm only interested in the prequel idea if it's to add actual new dungeons and delve more into ganon's story, to litterally flesh out more the character.

I think the 4 guardians got enough story in the main game.

I have already bought it. You get the Expansion Pass, DLC 1 and DLC 2 all for $20.
