Forums - General Discussion - Fidget Spinner Hype. What You Got?

I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is actually. Is it something like a spinning top?

Good god I hate these things. Worst craze ever from a teachers perspective and no it does not help students concentrate... it has the opposite effect...😒

I have a fidget cube. Much more useful for me. However, I use it for my horrible ADHD and anxiety.

I get pissed off when I look at those. Looks too complex for my feeble mind. 😐Reminds me of Rubix Cube and how I can never solve them. Yeah I know, I should be able to cuz I'm Asian.

Vaping AND fidget spinning? Very rad.

On topic, I have yet to see anybody in the real world with one of these things so IDK where all this hype is coming from. I guess a giant amount of people need some form of depression/anxiety relief? (i doubt these actually help with any of that though, sounds like a placebo effect)

This is like Pogs or Slap bracelets all over again. A useless fad that will die a quick death. Also kinda reminds me of those finger skateboards in the late 90s. Really dumb such as this.

The finger skateboards pissed me off too. I could never do the tricks. They looked so cute and chibi though. 😍 Pogs I thought would become worth lots of money one day like baseball cards. Boy was I wrong. I still have a bunch in a box hoping to become worth something one day.

I've actually tried slapping one of those bracelets on my penis one time. Not a good idea. 😐

I'm old school, i play with my dick to relax.

But a penis can only take so much punishment. Why not get a fidget spinner and balance it on your erect penis? Best of both worlds.

How this simple thing gets so much attention is beyond me. Well, better than doing drugs. Or maybe... drugs is the reason why it is so successful.

The appeal of Tamagochis in the 90s is so much more comprehensible now.

Honestly I don't have contact with anyone under the age of 30 except some of the babbies in the family but they are to young for this so untill they grow up and show the old people whats the current hype I am completely clueless. You are correct sir.

Honestly, I just don't get fidget spinners... I mean, most of them aren't even being used for their original purpose, it's just kids collecting lots of different coloured ones and stuff, and I find them annoying more than anything, just another novelty trend that will eventually die out over time...

I collect rocks and minerals. There's nothing inherently useful or purposeful in that either, it's just a hobby.

Lies, we all know you gather these precious rocks and minerals for your quest to become the greatest alchemist. 😒

It's not like a top. It operates more like a wheel. You can balance it on things, depends on the build quality. But that really isn't the way to use it. It's supposed to give your hand something to do, while you do other things. Taking away all the built up energy that stops you from concentrating. Your supposed to hold it between your thumb and pointer finger. Then use one of your other fingers to fiddle with it. Preferable spin it with the finger that the assassins cut off in Assassin's Creed. Sucks to be them with one of these toys. 😐

Since I'm a dumb ass, I like to do the former.

Yes, I have girly fingers. Don't be jealous. Women love it. 😉
