Weird question. I see no connection.
That said infamous is many times better.

SSO writing was just poor. Any time they couldn't explain anything they just put in a joke instead. The final boss fight was very much lacking compared to everything else.

Also they went way overboard on the item collecting.

I played them both... I like them both...

SO was the better game just for being fresh.

Collecting was a big part of Infamous:SS as well. In fact, that was one of the biggest complaints.

I got Sunset Overdrive for free with my Gold subscription.
Played for 20 minutes, hated, with a passion.
Style over substance, a lot of "tude" (attitude).
I think that younger people would probably enjoy it, like, less than 20 years old.

I don't think anybody liked SO in the first 20 minutes. It eventually hooks people in though and that's why it has a lot of praise.

In a nutshell, your opinion isn't worth much from just 20 minutes. But you're still entitled to have one.

Yes, maybe it is great, I have weird taste I guess.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I have no idea. I did love Sunset Overdrive, though. Really wish it would have sold better. That game and DLC was one of my favorite experiences this gen. XBO owners let me down when it came to sales on this one. I wish more people would have played it!

Its a game for people with weird taste.

Maybe the game isn't for you, but even fans agree it starts slow.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I played the DLC even though I bought it. Perhaps that's a good excuse to revisit this game.

And a lot of people over 20 enjoy it, too.

I was one of them.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Insomniac wanted to keep IP but Sony wanted to own it so they went to MS and they let them keep the IP. Nothing else needs to be said.

Proud to be a Californian.

No, Sony wanted to own the IP, MS didn't. That's really all there is to it, shame for PS4 only owners coz SO was phenomenal.

If insomniac own the IP why can't the second release on ps4?

A lot of gamers on here saying Infamous Second Son is a better game. Its fair to have an opinion.

Let me just put this here

Metacritic

Infamous Second Son - (80)
Sunset Overdrive - (81)

Both Games seem to be sitting on similar scores slightly favouring SSO. Those saying its better.. well not review wise.

Sony wanted to own the IP and MS didn't which is why the game came out on XB1. The sequel can go anywhere unless MS purchase the rights for the 2nd one.

I didn't realize it had sold so poorly- only a million copies. There might not be any future for the IP.

Insomniac are an interesting company. They always seem to be struggling to find their 'fit' and their overall vision. It's evident not only in their project choices and mix of publishers, but also in their design choices within games. They're in a rather unique situation where they have established IP they can turn to to generate steady profits, but are still experimenting all the time with new projects. Their search for a new high selling IP is definitely still ongoing. Perhaps Spiderman will be it.
