Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mass Effect Andromeda update plans revealed

Good to see them fixing people's complaints. I thought the game looked nice already but thank you to the vocal people for making a good game better!

Good, looks like I'm in for a treat when I pick this up on a flash sale or something like that.

They should have launched without most of these..... fixing afterwards is always a bad choice, the right one is to not launch with them. However its better than just leaving it be.... so I guess good on them.

How long until those fix's are ready?

Will they release a "delux edition" where the patches and fix's are in there on disc? or is this going to be one of those download this 15gb patch that fix's things, sort of deal?

The bugs in the game should have been fixed before the game launched. The critical reviews reflected the various issues with the game. If delaying the game by 3 months was all that was needed to add more polish and iron out issues it may have helped the critical reviews and commercial success of this game.

Skipping planets is probably my most desired quality of life improvement so thats great.

But what is with the inventory and the cheaper remnant keys? Thats not improving the game, its jsut making it easier. I have a bunch of remnant keys because I explored for them! And managing inventory is part of any RPG, I expended resources to expand mine!

So just like FFXV, we get yet another incomplete game that will later be "fixed" through patches. I'm glad I made the decision to skip on buying this game for now, but being a ME fan, I will definitely pick it up in a month or so after a couple rounds of "fixes".

i think i'm going to enjoy the game when i buy it for £10 in a year and download the ten patches there will have been by then

Mass Effect Andromeda - The Journey Ahead

Hi everyone,

It’s been two weeks since the launch of Mass Effect™: Andromeda and we’re thankful to the millions of you who have already joined us on this journey. And though the game is now in your hands, it’s really just the beginning.

Really? Millions already? Surprisingly good news if true. But I suppose 2 million = millions and it's not beyond possibility that across PS4/XbO/PC the game has reached that number already.

I prefer to wait for the updates "in coming months". So I guess that seals it, I will be getting Horizon: Zero Dawn first and then Mass Effect Andromenda.

I was actually fully committed to ME:A first between these games, but seems pretty clear that over the short term at least Horizon is the better bet.

I overlooked that completely. Thats really good news. I feel like most people who have actually played the game are having a far better time than the reviews imply. In terms of an immediate greenlight for a sequel the sales are very important also.

I'll wait some more before I buy it. Give them plenty of time to patch it. I rather have a good experience with the game.
