I can't wait to sink my thumbs into the Switch. As for the retro gamer portion, it's killing me that we still don't know how they will handle VC.

It doesn't need to, Switch is 9th gen.

I would say that the Switch is a "no generation" device.  Not a console or a handheld.

 

I guess it Gen 1 of the "both" generation!
