Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Nintendo Switch will have paid online. And it's all your fault.

I blame Microsoft. Yeah I admit I pay for online withbPS4 after adamantly denying I would. But the online games I play are fun and the free PS Plus games help.

However this makes it more expensive to own multiple platforms which sucks

I will come out and say I never paid for PS+ even once. Overall, I agree, the consumers are the ones who give the money. If they withheld it, then the companies would've decided to stop these practices.

I do not care for the paid online as much as I care for the price tag. Both PS4 and Xboxone are supposed to go down to $199 this year, so tbh $300 sounds a little way too much for a console from a company that has bein undewhelming the past 5 years. Paid online was to be expected.

Never complained about the online on WiiU, never paid to play online.

I started on PS+ with PS4 launch, got 24 months for $48 deal.

I think I've played online on PS4...maybe 5 times, less than 20 hours. I use PS+ for the games that come monthly. At roughly $3-4/month I am way ahead on value got out of it.

If Nintendo's is similar I have no issue, if it is just online play, I won't play online.

The Mario city area is highly inspired by Donkey Kong so it's most likely an homage to that series. Think King Kong or Donkey Kong Arcade for the inspiration of this area of the game.

Well... I never paid for an online service so... Heck I skipped all xbox consoles and bought the ps4 so much later cause of it.

i don't mind paying for online but only when there's a game thats actually worth the multiplayer experience and since i'm pretty picky i'm not on ps+ right now. monthly free games and deals mean nothing to me because when i want something i'll buy it full price day one and everything else that i don't consider "full price day one" worthy, falls into the category "not interested at all". very rarely there's something inbetween.

So where in the presentation did they mention this? I've only seen a few short videos they posted on the eshop.

Close to the very beginning.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
