Disagree.... Streaming is the future.... Physical media is falling off

I agree, but Sony is not offering 4K HDR content on PS Video or PS Vue either. So they have cut off all 4K video outside of Youtube and Netflix. I would be much more satisfied if the 4K and HDR content avialable on PS Video via the Sony 4K players was downloadable to PS4 Pro.

Sony is selling a 4K media center with no access to the latest 4K media. It is just super strange and super off putting.

$100 bucks says that before this time next year you start seeing tons of 4k movies available for purchase on the PS store.

I think you forget that the PS4pro is less than 50 days old. Hell, not only will sony offer it, amazon will also offer up 4k movie downloads for streaming or purchase.

Again, I think this thing is being made a much bigger deal than it actually is. There are just too many options that make the whole thing redundant.

huh?

The Ps4 has been above the Xbox1 for weeks now on Amazon. If that's where you're basing your assumptions. Sure the Xb1 has more bundles on the top 100 but who knows what the sales difference are between the two. Considering the fact that the Ps4 bundle has actually jumped in the top 100 yearly charts on Amazon and even surpassed Uncharted 4 then that means the Bundle is selling WAY MORE than any other consoles and even games on Amazon. It jumped to number 9 in the yearly charts, YEARLY. And it did this jump this December so that means it sold a crap ton more this month.

And what's the highest position for the Xbox one on the yearly charts? 70th. Despite all of the discounts and such it only managed to get to 70th in the yearly charts. That means it's not selling as much and the other items it is outselling in the daily charts aren't selling as much either.

So yeah, you're wrong. Sorry. (Purely basing on Amazon charts)

Or are you trolling or something?

This.  Considering how much the PS4 jumped in the yearly, itcould be outselling the first 2 XBO SKUs combined by 2:1.  And the Pro has actually sold out on Amazon.

As somebody who just got a 4k TV, i'll probably soon be looking for a 4k bluray player, and while in my opinion the Xbox One is "a bit toss", it's the cheapest 4k bluray player on the market.
The only reason Sony is all of a sudden so interested in pushing 4k on a public who in my experience are really more concerned about performance than resolution is because Sony would really like to seel some 4k TV's! So it seems like a bit of a blunder to leave out the main way of viewing 4k films. I know streaming is a big chunk of the market now, but streaming a movie in 4k here in Australia is basically impossible still.
