Sadly, it looks like Xbox will take back America. Ps4 won last month, but I think the victories will stop there. It looks like Xbox One S is winning on Amazon. It seems that the UHD Blu-ray has helped Xbox tremendously.

Also, it was a mistake, in my opinion, to make the new Ps4 models look so plain. The original Ps4 looked futuristic and sleek. Now the Xbox looks better than the PS4. 

Its not like the ps4 has a 20 million lead or anything...

Meh, games are still the defining factor of a gaming console. But i agree if you say an UHD bluray player will make a gaming console a better entertainment device.

I thnk long term the Pro may not be good. I wanted Pro to be a real premium product, like Sonys ES series devices, but instead it is just a minor upgrade that is great for first time buyers, but not so much for core gamers.

Had Sony made the Pro even $500 and added 4GB of RAM and 4K UHD support, I think the long term impact would have been greater. Now I feel they have to release a Pro 2 in three more years, and not miss step again. At this point they can't just shoehorn a little more RAM and UHD BR support into a 7100 series Pro.

It will be very interesting to see how they do versus the rebranded Xbox division nt holiday.

Worldwide, PS4 will dominate, but it is close here in the US. I want Ps4 to win here too.

sony is an stupid for not put UHD blu rays on ps4 slim and ps4 pro.
they put CD on ps1, DVD on ps2 and blu ray on ps3 to win the battle of HD-DVD toshiba. i don´t understand why new models of ps4 not has blu ray 4k.
they are part of this plataform and sony is interested in sell blu rays 4K but they didn´t put on ps4 new models. microsoft has made a good choice putting in the xbox one slim.

What if sony releases a UHD bluray external drive for $50? Has anyone thought of that possibility?

Sat around fall 2017, they drop the PS4pro to $299 and release a UHD bluray external drive for $50 making it optional for those that want to use the console as a UHD player be able to buy in.

And say said drive also works with the ogPS4/PS4s?

I think thats what people don't get about this whole UHD movie nonsense, its something sony could easily add in if they wanted to and still make money from those that want to use it.

I can't understand how Sony made such a mustake.
