Why is that people is so fucking whiny towards Nintendo and always talk about the same power bullshit and not about new option that Nintendo is trying to offer, the future gameplay design and games, omg but let's be happy because now I have more teraflops on my playstation and I can play shit games at 45 fps and upscaled 4k.

because most games are unplayable with 15 fps.....

I didn't care about power before, I don't care about it now. What the hell, all these Teraflops are gonna do are moah grfxx. I don't need grfxx, screw it, I want Nintendo games and I am still hyped as hell!

At launch Vita was $300, PS4 was $400 & PS TV was  $100 so you needed to spend $800 and have 3 seperate devices to be able to play all games on the PS ecosystem at home or on the go.

Switch is rumored to be $250-300 at launch and os  the only device needed to play the full lineup of games in the Nintendo ecoystem on the go or at home.

Its a significantly more streamlined & accessible version of an existing concept. That doesnt mean its not innovative though, Wii & DS were not the first motion control or touch screen devices but they were the first to streamline and make them accessible to a mass market.

My point wasn't about price at all. Besides, I got one of my vitas on clearance for $50 (and my PS TV for a whopping $13), and the PS4 was on sale black friday for what? $230 at some places? So that's only $270 for that experience presently if you shop around . But that's really neither here nor there.

The point was about how this option currently exists. Sure Nintendo is taking it a step further, but they didn't exactly change the face of gaming as we know it by offering a better version of what others have been doing for years any more than Sony changed the face of gaming by releasing the PS4. It's a new iteration on an established idea using more current technologies.

Like I said, Wii & DS were considered innovative takes on motion & touch controls as was Kinect for gesture controls and the new VR headsets for virtual reality.

None of those ideas were new, they were simply far more streamlined, accessible & higher quality versions of already existing ideas. Despite that, they are all considered to be innovative.

The concept doesn't matter if the execution sucks, which is what makes the ability to play the full Nintendo ecosystem at home or on the go on Switch innovative while the ability to play the full Playstation ecosystem at home or on the go is an expensive & cumbersome mess.

So Bethesda said it was the best thing at e3 because it was extremely underpowered? Im sorry, but as long as Bethesda has been around, theyce never bowed down to Nintendo simply for their popularity alone. Bethesda has always pushed nintendo away when they were underpowered. Even if this console is at say 900 Tflops, thats sufficient enough. What i trust is the confirned knowledge of Todd Howard, even if his games suck. Not rumors. WAIT 24 DAYS

You seemed pretty bothered when you said this just a few days ago. "And btw the switch is going to be as powerful or really close to the xbox, that's what people were expecting because of the form factor." You also said you were "100% sure" it would be equivalent to an XBO in power. Why make such predictions if you don't care about power. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8199405

Because the thread was about power? The xone is like 4 times more powerful than a wii u and switch is like 2.5 more powerful than a wii u when the device is docked, that's like 1.5 behind xbox one, hardware wise that's close.

And I don't care about the power at all, i have my pc for that, I care about the concept and the games, but I see people that don't even know how these consoles work whining because some media site told them that the switch is not powerful enough, and now "omg I'm so disappointed pre order cancelled" so they don't even care about the games or concept?? I say If they have such a boner for power buy a gtx 1080 and plug that shit inside your ahole

That's not how math works.

Xb1 is 3 times faster than the switch. Switch is what almost 400gflops? Xb1 is 1.2 tera so yes. It's not even close.

Because Sony and Microsoft offer (some) great games and quite a few good games and a console which specs aren't totally outdated on launch perhaps. So that's why people demand the same from Nintendo, besides when it comes to it the Switch  it seems like a great handheld but a very mediocre console.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

What concerns are you speaking of?

That the Switch will be underpowered and lead to third parties snubbing it.

3DS is by far the least powerful device on the market and it has 100's of 3rd party games.

Multiplatform, AAA western titles may skip Switch but then again if those are the type of games you want than Nintendo hasn't been the choice for you for like 15 years and had a high chance of skipping Switch even if was close to XBO/PS4 in power.

Kinect/motion and touch were legitimate new ways to play games though.

To be honest I don't think as many people really care about all Nintendo games in one place, 80% of 3DS owners did not even bother to buy a Wii U. The ratio is the same for GBA to GameCube. I think we may be overstating the appeal, this is something that means a lot to people who buy both Nintendo hardware but that isn't a terribly huge audience (the number of people who buy both Nintendo systems) if looking at the GCN/GBA and Wii U/3DS eras. Wii was an outlier IMO because it struck pay dirt with a very different way to play.

I think a lot of people are just fine with what the 3DS alone offered to satisfy their Nintendo fix.

The main benefit in a hybrid system is really to Nintendo, because now they don't have to have games like Splatoon and Zelda: BoTW locked off from their main audience (which is the portable audience).

Using active cooling and these clocks it'll reach sub-zero and hurt them even more. xD

Seriously, Pixel C is a tablet and will probably be in children hands too.

Are tou sure it's active all the time, or just while docked? Also, sub zero temps? On the casing? Doubt that.

I read somewhere that it's all the time although slowly when undocked. Unfortunately I can't find the source now.

Well, thinking again.. maybe they glued some things on the SoC (it's a custom chip after all) that makes it need the cooling alongside the downlock. Who knows..

Todd Howard hasn't said anything about its power. You're now grasping at straws.
