What I find jarring was that either a lot of people were holding off to buy the PS4 Slim on BF or Gears really did drive a lot of the initial support for the XBOS...

Either that or people realized the PS4 Pro sucked and their expectations changed drastically, since it seems it might not have been as popular as the Slim... Now I realize these patterns make no sense. I'd expect the Pro the be the main source of sales, rather than the out since Summer Slim...

It does confirm something though... Microsoft fans no longer like stores, so my call was right...

I dont know why you would think the pro would evee be the main drive for sales. It just makes no sense.

This is the holiday season. Gift buying season. People go where the deals are. And did you see deals on thr PS4? And the pro is an enthusiast console. It's not intended to push the kinda numbers a cheaper slim would push.

And I dont understand what you mean by MS fans no longer like stores. Could it just mean that online retailers had better deals for an XB1? Or MS losing the physical fight just means that they lost because MS fans rather buy their stuff online?

On "Black Friday" Thursday night after our Thanksgiving meal, wife and I ventured into Wal-Mart.  I saw no one buying a PS4 of any sort, one person buying an Xbox One S, and another buying Skylanders for the One S.  This is irrefutable proof that Microsoft fans still love stores.

lol

What they should do then is just include an online code for any game of choice. What's the point in having 20 different skus?

So everybody can claim a victory. But which is bigger business? Retail or online?

For black Friday ? 100% retail.

PS took November

So ps4 won at retail while xb1 won online. Not bad

But it makes me wonder why they lost during Fall. What happened?

As for the latter, namely there are more Xbox fans are choosing digital distribution over brick and mortar, hence the community seems to lean towards online distribution than buying their stuff on the desk.

It hints my predictions on Xbox One having more digital customers than physical ones compared to the PS4 should stand as something likely...

All I want to say is infoscout are not very reliable. I could easily sit here and post "WOOOOOO HOOOOO SONY WON, SONY WON" but that would imply these are a reliable source and I refuse to give them the satisfaction. Past trends show they can be way off. Just because they've a fancy name, doesn't mean they're very good. Now if they were called infoscoutz.... Haha only joking!

Anyway, I'll wait for NPD before celebrating.

If this report is accurate, after factoring in the rest of the month, plus PS4 Pro pre-orders, it's safe to say PS4 will easily win November NPD.

This. I'm guessing this will be locked soon as all infoscout threads are being locked for being a poor source.
