If at best buy Xbox one outsold PS4 by a notable margin, then there no way PS4 won October NPD.
Best buy usually prefer by far PS4.

That's what's confusing me. I can understand Amazon giving a skewed number on the xbox when they were out of the Halo bundle, as that seemed to be the One's most popular bundle. Now, however, Amazon has the main Battlefield bundles in stock, so why is the Xbox still looking like it's performing badly? It wouldn't be good if the one decent way to track sales before the end of a month started becoming unreliable.

Hmm, Abdiel on Neogaf said that October went pretty to the Xbox even at Best Buy, so what is going on with Amazon? I'll wait to see the NPD numbers, but I'm expecting the One to be the best-selling console again in October. So why, when Amazon now has everything but the 1tb Gears bundle, which I can't see as performing any better than the 1tb Battlefield bundle, is the console performing so badly on Amazon? The 500gb Battlefield 1 bundle is in stock, and is just doing okay. Why would the trends suddenly diverge so much from the retailer? It's kind of baffling.

I've wracked my brains trying to understand it myself. At the end of the day though, it's clearly the Pro that's given MS the two wins so far and this month marks a change back to normal.

I think PS4 will sell near 2M this month.

%aybe even a little more.

The ps4 pro will be a huge hit, but sony need to do a attractive price for the ps4slim, for ppl who don't want to spend a lot.

Maybe 250$ for slim + 1 or 2 game.

Yeah it ws an odd month. An Amazon was a little off so it might be wrong again for Oct. But I am super excited for Nov and Dec!

Maybe the better question is... who is Abidel.... whys a random person even credible.

He's a Best Buy employee that is generally able to see a decent amount of sales taking place at that retailer and is able to give us a general sense of what is likely trending at Best Buy. I would generally trust Amazon over him, since it represents a higher percentage of the market than he is able to see himself, but considering that Xbox sales at Amazon seem strikingly low compared to the sales numbers that have been emerging, I'd likely take his word over Amazon's charts this month.

$250 slim bundles is definitely happening for BF. Add in an entire month of Pro sales plus pre orders and PS4 sales will be the highest yet for November i think. Still crazy that there's no IW bundle, or Watchdogs. I would hope they're saving those for December to let Pro get some sales first?
