Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch, what did you like, and what did you dislike?

I dont have a Wii U but always wanted one and to know that its backwards compatible is the most important feature to me.

When the console is in portable mode it looks extremely large.. I can't imagine carrying a device of that size around really.

Not much for me to say.

I will just say that Splatoon looked amazing, and this console's portable factor could really mean a lot for giving it a huge esport scene.

I don't like the controllers tbh, the home/pro controller looks ok, but those small controllers for the go look pretty uncomfortable.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I liked the BOTW footage but thats about it. Just looks like more gimmicky nonsense from Nintendo.

And this looks like just another non-sense shitting from a well known suspect.

There is no gimmick on the console, being able to turn into handheld is not a gimmick, it makes a pretty big difference

Who said it is, the Wii U wouldn't be able to run the remastered version due to the added textures alone so the platform would have to be in range of X1 to manage that.

You said it had to be similar to XBO in power minimum...

There's a huge difference between the Wii U and the XBO. I'm pretty sure halfway in-between can run Skyrim Remastered.

Half way in between is still well above the Wii U and not Wii U level like the OP thought, it's not even just texture that are improved in the remastere either despite some of them being 4K it also has higher resolution over the original, improve effects over the original, improved lighting, improved depth of field, mapping and all. With all of these it wouldn't run half way between the two so it must be in range of it.

The fact it appears to have the best 3rd party support for a Nintendo console since the SNES is really enticing.

Maybe true

I like the fact that is a hybrid, that will save me the money for two pieces of hardware. I like the fact that it has cartridges, and maybe 3DS BC support? I like the fact it has Skyrim, at least one big 3rd party game is there already. I like the fact they sort-of confirmed MK8 and Splatoon to be there, probably more WiiU ports coming as well.

I don't like the name, it's awful. And it will probably suffer on the online category. And two controllers, one on each hand seems annoying, but at least there is the Switch Real controller.

I like and dislike for similar reasons too

I like how I can focus on one platform rather than two - Playstation should be the same in the future.

Cartridges are fine - makes them more portable than carrying around discs.

I hate the name though but I guess it makes sense PR wise.

Name is fine because everybody is gonna call it "A Nintendo" again, which is good for the brand imo.

I thought with a Vita you can play your ps4 games outside?

Since when are you able to play uncharted 4 on the Vita outside your home?

Since May 10th 2016

I like almost everthing about it. Loved that you can play last gen quality games on the go, but that shouldnt really be Nintendo's approach.

Im a bit concerned about the power tho, because 3rd party support is gonna be limited. Remember the WiiU had good support at the start.

Also curious about the price, cause this thing should cost no more than $300.

Can't be Wii U level in terms of power because the persion was playing Skyrim Remastered so the console has to be minimum around X1 level for that due to the new textures in the game and all.

actually Bethesda was having big problems running 4k skyrim especial edition on xbone, it is a very intense graphical game its a 4k game.

Really, do you think that could mean it's possibly higher than the base model X1 then?
