Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch, what did you like, and what did you dislike?

i like how it is modular so that woman can fit it in their handbags and forever loose one of the controllers forcing them to buy a replacement and making nintendo millions in the process of selling controllers for the one console.

dude, gimmicky? it's functionality, can you play skyrim and nba outside on your ps4?

I thought with a Vita you can play your ps4 games outside?

yea that's about $500-$600 and two different systems.

For me

Likes:

The pro controller looks easily like the best one Nintendo ever had.

The games that were there looked cool. Always down for Mario/Kart, Splatoon, ect.

Looks incredibly easy to take on the go. I figured you'd have to turn it off while docking.

Having Wii U games on th go seems cool enough.

Dislikes:

Seems like Wii U in terms of power, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Docking station does not have a SCD, at least by looking at it, again correct me if I'm wrong

The switch controller that disconnects looks kind of bad, would not use it unless on the go.

Using half a controller looks awkward to use.

Can't be Wii U level in terms of power because the persion was playing Skyrim Remastered so the console has to be minimum around X1 level for that due to the new textures in the game and all.

actually Bethesda was having big problems running 4k skyrim especial edition on xbone, it is a very intense graphical game its a 4k game.

34 years playing games.

I liked the BOTW footage but thats about it. Just looks like more gimmicky nonsense from Nintendo.

It`s definitely a gimmick to people who don`t care about playing games outside...

At least it's optional

What I liked?Everything.I mean, the handheld mode seems like close to XOne in power(a gigantic jump from the 3DS), and Im convinced that we will receive extra power when it is docked.I mean, it needs to.The docking station is just too big to be just a "holder".The only thing i didnt like is the d-pad, but i think ill buy a pro for that.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I like the new Mario game and the pro controller. I'm still not too sure about the power of the system.

+ Looks very good for a portable machine
+ Doesn't look like a damn toy
+ Has a new Mario game
+ Has NBA 2K (?) on the go

- Shitty c-button d-pad
- Mediocre as a console, another 4+ years of outdated graphics compared to Sony/MS
- Splatoon/Mario Kart basically just look like Wii U dumps
- In general it basically looks like Wii U-2 ... nothing really revolutionary, this was not really worth 18 months of hype.

Since when are you able to play uncharted 4 on the Vita outside your home?

I like the very small form factor.
I like the new pro controller.
I like the possible new 3D Mario.
I would love it if they didn't release a separate successor to the 3DS as some suggested before the reveal.

I don't like that it exists and they didn't just go 3rd party.

I don't care that it's a hybrid since it will never leave its dock anyway.

Yeah, the screen and switch controller are going to add to the cost of the device and I could have done without it

And no successor to the 3ds is needed, NX is portable, so I agree with that.

Wish they made two seperate devices that used the same cartridges, (it would reduce price) but oh well.

I think it's fine the way it is. having 2 separate devices no matter if they use the exact same hardware is an unnecessary layer of complexity for everyone.

I would've liked it though if the tablet was hidden a bit more as to not catch every dust spec.
