Grats Microsoft.

Phil Spencer's hard work is starting to pay off.

I dont quite get those numbers. If the XBO is above the PS4 in terms of total sales, should the XBO numbers be: XBO>354k ?

Where did you read XBO september 2016 is bigger than PS4 September 2015?

This is what we know

PS4 Sep 15 > PS4 Sep 16

XBO Sep 16 > XBO Sep 15

Yeah true but those are close enough and the numbers are close enough to fall within the margin of error. The Pro was #5 - higher than any game.

An Amazonian bares their scars with pride.

The PS5 Exists.

No. For example the PS4 could be 330k with the XB1 being 340k. That way we have XB1 > PS4, PS4 down YoY and XB1 up YoY.

It boggles my mind that Americans see 4K Blu-Ray as something revolutionary and more important than performance and resolution. I mean if they buy Xbox One S for exclusives, that's fair! If you love Forza and Gears do it, but just for 4K Blu-Ray? Such a shame Battlefield 1 runs at 720p, that's gonna upset some players unaware of that like it did with Battlefront last year.

Highly doubt it had anything to do with the S.  I know the Top XBO SKUs at Gamestop for that month were the $249 OG bundles.  Even now on Gamestop, out of the Top 5 XBO SKUs, 3 are OG XBOs, including #1.  It's also pretty obvious the boost to the PS4 is more because of the price cut than the Slim.  If the Pro wasn't launching, I'm sure the PS4 would have won easily.  Still, congrats go to MS.  Nov is going to be the fun month to watch, though.

Nothing to worry about - Amazon had the PS4Pro as the highest selling system in September but will only release in November.

It was still wrong though:

PS4 CoD bundle: #24
XBO S 500GB Halo bundle: #30

We'e got to be fair with this.

Yep.  I guess those sales were closer than we thought.  It's strange, though, cause on Gamestop the $249 XBO OG SKUs were tearing up the charts, yet none charted on Amazon.  I guess the close Amazon sales + discounted OG bundles were just enough to give it to the XBO.

When can we expect numbers?

PS4 Slim might be a flop, but people are waiting for the Pro. Or not, kek, X1 is back at the top in NA.

MS making all the right moves with the XB1 to put it on top again. Be interesting to see how it does in the rest of the "months that matter" according to Spencer.
