Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why do I love 60 fps even on consoles

I have always played PC games  and want +60 fps so for me the people defending sub 30 fps are crazy.

I play console games but I notice I rather play a old remastered game with 60 fps than a new game with

sub 30 fps.

I bought Bioshock remastered collection 60 fps, Diablo 60 fps, the last of us 60 fps and alot of other remaster with 60 fps.

I tried and love the witcher 3 but sub 30 fps made me stop playing it on console.

I think the future are +60 fps but some ppl are defending sub 30 fps. The same I heard about sub 1080p or not

see how great HDR can be.

Honestly, when it is noticeable it is game ruining like annoyance.

Agree but some ppl are defending sub 30 fps and say we cant notice the differece 30/60.

I have never been able tosee what people like so much about 60fps. I always end up adjusting for image quality and a solid 30fps. Ijust don't feel a difference between Driveclub, Forza, Forza Horizon, Gran Turismo, Need For Speed, and I know they are all over the place frame rate wise. For me good gameplay mechanics beat higher frame rate and resolution aany day.

I will agree with you on HDR though. That is the biggest leap in TV tech history. SD to HD is small beans compared to what HDR is doing. I don't think it will take long before most people feel the same.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

The future is always trying to use the best tech and performance possible. But if the game runs well and plays like it should play(I personally rarelly notice when it is 30 or 60 fps), I dont care either way.I mean, of course I prefer it to be 60 fps and 4K and whatnot, but saying that people shouls not play them because of them, when they are completely functional, is silly. Now, if you prefer that is completely fine and more power for you, but if the game cant reach those points, but without detractong from the experience, I dont see the issue.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

There's a difference between 30/60 fps but depending on the game style 30fps can do just fine.

But yes who wouldn't prefer 60fps all the time.

Some people cannot notice, and sometimes in a few cases, I cannot notice. However some games it is sadly very noticable. I think it also has to do with where the camera and movement is happening.

That sucks, I'm sorry you have that problem.

Personally, I'm just happy I can play both without a problem. I would be sad if I couldn't play some really good games because I was hung up over 60fps. I guess I'm just lucky.

Agree about HDR I have been waiting for a more colourful picture a long time. Oled and full colourful gamut at 4k and I am set !
