I can definitely see where you're coming from. This is mainly a site to talk about games, and not here about the crazy things happening in the news, especially the depressing stories.

Though I can see why having threads on news is a handy thing. It at least keeps me posted on what's going on in the world and I think it's pretty important to at least know about it.

just don't go in those threads, it's not hard. I have been on this site since early 2007 and it seemed like back then when the numbers were the highlight people focused more on sales.
