No one is screwing anyone over because theres no cancellation. And no matter how pissed off Ninty fans are, when they see it on NX in stores they are forgetting their disgust for sure.

I would skip the game honestly. And probably never buy a Nintendo console for a very long time.

i agree-  I already have no trust in Nintendo-  so if they cancel the wii u version or meaningfully reduce the gameplay compared to the NX version i would not buy the game or the NX

Pissing off their extremely dry fans wouldn't exactly be the brightest move.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I have a Wii U. Screw your idea.

The game is not gonna be cancelled, no one is talking about that here, and there is absolutely no ondication tht the gameplay is gonna be different.

I hope and actually think you are correct- but the way Nintendo has treated Wii U owners and its customers in geneal, nothing would surprise me at this point- -

nah man. They're making the right call. I fully expect the nx version to be a simple port like twilight princess (mirror mode with some waggle an upgrade does not make). It's just in an effort to make the title available on all available nintendo home platforms to satisfy both bases and capitalizing on sales opportunities.

As seeing as my Wii U controller is dying (now replaced the wifi adapter in it twice), I'm just hoping the NX has a more durable controller. Plus for as artistic a game as this game is/will be, I want the best possible hardware to play it on.

Make it a simultaneous release, there's no need for Nintendo to be a dick about it ...

If the NX fails it'll come back to haunt Nintendo to the point of where it'll further damage their brand which will negatively affect their last beacon of hope (Handhelds) ...

They did it with Twilight Princess. It worked. Nobody cared, and those that did were a very tiny minority. I'd say they should do anything to make the NX look good, I also would have, and I said that before, moved Paper Mario to NX.

This. They already did. Nothing, and none, can guarantee that Nintendo won't do the same.

Disagree, I think Zelda should have released first for Wii U this holiday season and obviously as a launch for NX later on. A high percentage of the Wii U userbase would have gobbled it up, especially at the holidays, and when the new hardware rolls out sometime later new adopters will bite and Wii U owners that upgrade would probably double dip.

You are not getting big picture. Instead of selling a few million copies of a game better use its image for a console that will generate billions. Look at tomb raider. Does anyone remember it for PS4?
