Why not just buy it used? Nintendo doesn't make any money of it then.

First Nintendo home console not to have an exclusive Zelda title(Wii U). Man they stuffed up this generation so bad.

The Wii U version of Zelda U will be playable at E3.

Yes it looks like they purposefully delayed Zelda U, to launch with the NX

(even if they could probably have released much earlier a wii u version).

No animal crossing either, or Metroid.

The Mario game they launched wasnt a free camra movement type 3D platformer either.

We never got a "real" 3D mario platformer, like galaxy/sunshine/64.

We get a new paper mario for consoles, and its another Sticker Star....  ; _ ;

Stuff like that matters, and its one of the reasons why Wii U sales are as they are.

And it's one of the reasons many Wii U owners won't get NX at launch too. Some of us got burned with Wii U and how Nintendo has treated us.

I'll buy the WiiU-version i just hope they don't screw up like they did with the GCN-version of Twilight Princess

To be honest even if Nintendo did all the things there that you wanted ... sales would be maybe 18 million instead of 14 million? I don't think they'd be hugely different. Animal Crossing fans tend to be ... Mario/Pokemon/Kirby/Donkey Kong fans (go figure) so it's not like that's an entirely seperate audience. Metroid is 30 year old niche franchise. 

Nintendo's problem is they don't have any appeal to the primary console buying public that prefers games like Grand Theft Auto, Madden NFL, Destiny, Battlefront, Uncharted, etc. etc. etc. Unfortunately the market has become driven by those types of games. 

The Wii was able to disrupt this cycle temporarily by enticing soccer moms and non-traditional gaming audiences like seniors to buy a game console, but this wasn't a sustainable audience as many of them had no interest in buying multiple iterative game consoles (in the same way that just because I buy Monopoly, doesn't mean I became a hardcore board game player that needs to buy a new board game often, Monopoly might be the only board game I buy for 20 years) and then the whole smart device gaming boom which rendered much of the Wii/Kinect novelty of "anyone can play" some what moot and quite frankly dated.
