I think this is the reason I prefer cats over dogs. In fact, I don't like dogs at all. I don't especially dislike them anymore, but I don't like them either. I haven't owned a dog but then again, I hadn't owned a cat either when I already knew I like cats and don't like dogs.

It's sort of funny that one the reasons I don't like dogs is that they often seem quite mindless, when it's actually cats that are stupier. Sometimes cats seem like idiots, which they probably are, but they don't generally seem very stupid until you look closer.

 

I wonder if there is some correlation between people who prefer dogs or cats? Guess I know what I'm googling at work tomorrow

I like cats, but I much prefer dogs. Their body language is much easier to read than cats. That coupled with the fact that they actually pay attention to you, pick up on commands, simple speech, and your tone of voice surprisingly well, makes interactions with a dog feel less like I'm just talking to myself.

Only dogs can soothe the crushing loneliness in my soul.

I used to have dogs & cats at one point, I enjoy the personalities of both :)

H.P himself stated that only a very, very few people would be able to break free of Oriental idealism and abasement which ruined classic civilisation in the Dark Ages, which basically means that our society, divided by the Dog Lovers and the Cat Lovers are both cut from the same cloth. The true vision for which a man with better taste would know why cats are superior is lost to that hundred of thousands of cat videos on the internet and people petting them like they're some kind of cute creature.

Cats all the way! Here's a few pictures of my cat.

He likes to sleep on my Gamepad and turn on my PS4 controller. Clearly he's a Sony fancat. 
I wonder if that's a bannable phrase on cat forums...
