Doesn't Japan have more holydays after December 31st? That might explain the sales difference.

Well, New Year's week is usually still a pretty good week for sales in Japan, but for the week of Jan. 4-10 we've already seen the big post-holidays drop. The Wii U just started getting a rebound in Japan starting like back in summer. It actually sold more in Japan last year than in 2014.

What's even weirder is more Japanese bought Wii Us than North Americans bought 3DS that week .





RIP the Wii. I wonder when they'll take the 360 and PS3 off the charts.

Anyways, the XB1 should definitely be down from last year, since it's still the same price and is the same price as the PS4.
