Eh ??? No way! Halo is already passed the 2 Millions mark and this is just physical copies. Splatoon 2.4 mill is SHIPMENT (according to VGC it SOLD around 1.8 millions - Nov.21 2015 ) AND digital.
Halo has huge fanbase, im sure the game will keep selling well.

2.42, to be exact, but until september 30th. That was almost 2 month ago. In the meantime Splatoon has sold around 200k in Japan alone, and with the new bundles both in Japan and the west the numbners will likely rise quite a bit during the holiday season.

Halo is quit leggy for a non-nintendo non minecraft game, but without further numbers of sold units I hold jugement for now. It certainly isn't impossible. It depends how leggy Halo 5 will be in the end. Splatoon sure has proven to be extremly leggy, and Halo needs to keep up with it if it wants to beat Splatoon on the long run.

In the US and UK, Halo 5 will win for sure. But even in mainland europe, let alone japan, Splatoon looks like the clear victor for now

LOL Not a chance. You seem to forget that this is a busy season and Halo as a franchise tends to have legs. Its one of the most loved shooters on the market. Splatoon looks cool, but no one is really going to be knocking down doors to get it. Halo on the other hand is the reason why mid night releases started in the first place.

its the opposite for splatoon, just look at first week sales and check out its legs. It had the highest first week sell through in japan ever and its legs in US/Japan (especially japan)  certainly show people are busting through doors to get it. Halo 5 not so much (not saying it didn't sell well but going by your post to me is a little ironic :p)

i think that Splatoon will or has outsold Halo 5 but lets not forget that Splatoon costed not everywhere 60$ and MS made a lot of money with Microtransactions. So you can see it either way which sold more.
But props to Nintendo for its smaller user-base

Only in Europe where it got the least amount of sales. That said if we are talking profits lets look at the marketing and budget for each game. Halo wins for both of those, especially budget. I dont think splatoon even cost that much to make at all. I dont know $ but if i had to guess halo 5 is easily at least 5x more than splatoon!!!!!!!

It's a possibility, Halo 5 has a lot of competition on XB1.
Not just from other FPS, but just in general, there's new big games released every week.
Wii U gets like one game every 6 months if not year, so everyone who owns a Wii U has no choice but to get it if they want to get any use out of their console.

Trust me....it will stop where Halo starts. Halos sales wont be the same because of the quality of buyers in the marketshare. Most of those gamers jumped ship back to Sony. Halo will continue to sell over time. Watch.

I just did, as the second week of US sales got released on VGChartz. Halo 5 dropped down to 185k, basically an 80% drop week on week. This doesn't bode too well for it's legs

Dude..thats not bright at all. Black Friday and December sales are what Microsoft plays with .you guys are really putting your credibility on the line. Don't you realize that Splatoon came out in May? Literally five months ahead of Halo 5's launch and Halo is already at 1.5 million consoles sold on VG Chartz which does not even account for digital sales. By years end Halo will already be over the three million mark. I can promise you this. This Halo over time will sell over six million, but it will definitely be the lowest selling Halo ever.

I can also promise you this will be the case for Splatoon. As for reaching 6 millions, I'm not quite as sure as you are for Halo 5. Halo 3: ODST did reach 6.32 million sales total, but it did almost 4.5 millions in it's first year. Halo 4 made over 7 of it's 9.5 millions in it's launch year. Thus if Halo 5 can only reach 3 millions during it's first year, I don't believe it can reach 6 millions, but rather 4-4.5 millions. Like I said in a post before, Halo is leggy for a non-Nintendo game, but it's legs pale in comparision to those of most Nintendo games, let alone Splatoon tentacles.

Halo 3 did over 12m according to VGC.
