Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Cloud From FFVII In Smash Bros!

Mascots from Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, Namco, and Square Enix in one game. This shouldn't be happening, but I absolutely love it.

I'm going to consider this as Square testing out the waters for Nintendo before being fully on board with FF7R going onto NX.

But this is great, I hope there'll be a Cloud Amiibo.

I don't know if Cloud DLC in Smash is a good barometer for potential sales figures of a mainline Final Fantasy home console game.

That would require Konami to get its head out of its ass.

FFVII Remake is soooooooo much on NX

I didn't even think about this, but yes it does seem pretty likely now. Not too big a fan so I don't care as much about a remake (although it is a good game and I probably would play it eventually.) But Cloud in Smash is great! Not my first choice but another major franchise represented which is good. Also that stage looked awesome

NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, WiiU, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Mega Drive, Game Gear, PS1, PS2, PSP, XBOX 360, Atari Lynx

I have a feeling this could spur VII's Remake on NX especially if NX is covers both portable and home, that would be a large userbase in itself.

I'm just wondering if this leads to any indication, of there being additional news regarding FFVII or FF as a whole with Nintendo soon? Seems like an odd partnership otherwise.

I don't think this says anything about ff7 remake being on a Nintendo console. It's pretty much just for Smash. Snake was in smash bros, Ryu is in Smash bros but did that do anything for games like MGS or SF going to their platform? The main titles I mean. Not really. Also ff7 content has been available on a Nintendo platform before already(Kingdom hearts: Chain of memories and all theathrythm titles). So I think this is simply a contract exclusive to Smash Brothers.
