Forums - Gaming Discussion - Let's talk about Resident Evil.

01: Resident Evil 4 (Not the first one I played but enjoyed it the most, awesome story and game mechanics)

02: Resident Evil Remake (Most scary one)

03: Resident Evil 6 (Never understood the hate, it's one of the best and most diversified action games out there, even if it's not that scary anymore)

04: Resident Evil Zero (Very scary and I liked the fact that you could switch between two characters)

05: Resident Evil 5 (Lots of panic moments with awesome graphics and enemy design)

1. ReMake (RE 1 is second best but I dont see point with Remake).
2. RE 2
3. Code Veronica X
4. RE 3
5. RE 4

I didn't like Re5, I dont have any desire to play RE 6, and need to play Zero Remake and Revelations 1 and 2.

Old RE's are terrible in my opinion. Too slow and cringe worthy. I like the more faster paced RE's like RE4, RE5, and RE6.

In today standards probably, but  today you dont have games with atmosphere of RE1, RE2, RE3, Code Veronica X or Silent Hill 1, 2, 3. I still much more enjoying playing those games than RE5 that even dont consider like RE game at all.

Well I'm trying to beat every RE game and im playing through RE5 for the first time right now. It's fucking terrible. Sheva sucks ass, I don't even give her ammo anymore she just wastes it all. It's so predictable when you get to a quiet area that a huge mob is gonna attack you out of fucking no where, every fucking time. It gets old so quick, you spend five minutes killing 30 zombies, get to the next area and bam, another huge hoard comes at you. Im so fucking pissed right now, i knew it wasnt a good game before i started but i just needed to rant. I'm gonna force myself to beat the damn game but I can only finish one chapter a day or I might lose my damn mind.

Resident Evil 2 was the first one I played and I like it the best followed by the Outbreak series, 1, 3, 5, 4, and Resident Evil Gaiden.

I though the sixth game in the series was an unplayable mess, finishing the first chapter with Leon before I quit, picking it up again because I friend asked me to, playing just one more chapter and quitting again and haven't touched it since.

If Resident Evil Gaiden was on consoles, it may have actually been a great game. You could definitely see the potential of the GBC release.

I own but have never played Code Veronica, Zero, Remake, Revelations for 3DS, and that PS2 lightgun game.

Played the demo of Revelations and didn't enjoy it so I never played the full game.  I already owned the game though.

The original is still my favorite. What a mansion!
2's novel approach to new game+ made for an experience that's hard to beat.
3 felt underwhelming after 2.
Code Veronica's unwanted love story & turning Claire into a gravity-defying action hero left a sour taste.
4 was once again scary and fun, but felt about as authentic RE as Devil May Cry.
REmake was amazing and exciting, even with the beloved bad dub missing...
..and then Zero sent the series back to RE3 levels of 'meh.'
5, 6, the CG movies....blech. Chris becoming a superhero, Claire trying too hard to not fight monsters...not what I wanted, at all.
REvelations has been decent, nowhere near peak RE material though.

Resident Evil (Gamecube)
Resident Evil (PlayStation)
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil Revelations
Resident Evil Code Veronica
Resident Evil Revelations 2
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 6

1. REmake
2. RE4
3. Revelations
4. REZero
5. Darkside Chronicles
6. Umbrella Chronicles

The ones I have played. I find Ada and Leon to be hot, and love RE2 Raccon City setting. I wish they decide to release a game similar RE3 where the setting is an entire city where you can enter to many buildings and solve puzzles.
