Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NoA: "We are excited to bring [Devil's Third] to Wii U"

I've noticed that Nintendo started commenting on rumours and speculation! Lol.

So excited that they:

- Haven't gotten the game rated by the ESRB
- Haven't given any kind of release date for NA
- Pulled the game from the future release section of the Wii U eshop
- Left the game out of E3 entirely, not even putting a playable demo on the floor
- And someone from Nintendo apparently even verified the publishing rights shifting to a different publisher according to Siliconera's source that they trusted so much, they reported the information as fact

But yeah Nintendo, you're still totally excited to bring the game over. I can see that.

Are you using..... logic?

The Nintendo camp wont like that. You are supposed to lick whatever they throw at you.

the nintendo fanbase isnt like other fanbases.  hating NoA is normal for nintendo fans.

Maybe they set up a publishing agreement with a company like XSEED. Itagaki probably raised a giant stink and Iwata maybe caved. On the down side, it maybe also mean no US release until 2015.

But....we're in 2015?

lol I think they meant to say 2016 and just missed the 6. I'm sure the game is still coming in 2015 though. No matter who is publishing the game at this point, it's still coming. That much we've known for certain for over a day now.

So does this mean Unseen64 has lost some credibility? Is it too early to dispel the rumor that the NX won't be as powerful as the PS4?

Plotwist It's because it's going to be as powerful as the PS5

I'm just confused why he thinks its coming 2016? The game is fully localized already (Since it's releasing in Europe) so any publisher will be able to launch it in a month or two.

No I don't think so. They got Zombi U on PS4/XB1 correct just now.

Maybe Nintendo changed their mind sensing some internet backlash and already knowing they blew E3 this year didn't want to piss off their hardcore fanbase any moreso, maybe Itagaki raised too much of a stink, maybe they are still correct and the game is being published in the US, but under a different publisher.

Something is up because NOA refused to show the game at E3 at all and has not submitted it to the ESRB for rating.

EDIT: Yeah I meant 2016 release.

I honestly think their report was accurate and that NoA may just be doing some serious backtracking right now after seeing that there is actually a desire for the game to be published in NA. That or NoA saw publishing the game as the ultimate form of damage control in this particular scenario. Either way, we'll never get the whole truth, so I'd just keep trusting Unseen64 as much as you already do.
