I think if any of you had a sense of what it takes to make 1 character, balance him and put in the detail that we know sakurai for, you would appreciate the price, it should be more.
other games charge for already finished content, content as simple as maps or extra missions.
now I'm not sure why an n64 stage is $2 but a miiverse stage which is doing more work is free, but...

People don't care about that. What people see is half the price of the game. Gets you 5 characters. But $60 game gets you the game engine. 40+ characters, skins, etc.

The DLC is too much. And I have no problem not buying any of them. None of them are my favorite. And the Mii stuff is really not interesting.

Well, I won't buy the DLC because I'm not using too many different characters, lol. It may be worth it for huge fans of certain characters, but not for me.

I'd buy Bayonetta DLC.

They're charging 3 bucks for N64 stages with unupdated graphics. Do you even need to ask if they're taking it too far?

6 bucks for a character is steep. 4 a piece felt fair to me though. Those costumes though...you have to be either a huge fan or wanting to burn money if you buy them.

I was annoyed at first, til I realized that I can buy whatever I pick.. Instead of a forced Season Pass that turns out to NOT have all the DLC *cough cough* Mortal Kombat X.

Prices are too expensive, i agree. I'll probably only get the Ryu Pack, since he's a new character and I want to try him out.

And that's why the least they could do is have custom moves for DLC characters. A good alternate costume here and there would also be nice as "the detail we know sakurai for" includes stuff like Fierce Deity Link, Wireframe Mac, Alph, Fusion Zero-Suit, Swim Trunks Shulk, even simple palette swaps can be creative like the ones for Shulk, Lucina, and Palutena which are references to other characters in their games.

I personally think the characters are reasonably priced at $4. The stages at $2? Those should be $1 and the Mii costumes should be 25 cents... not 75. Otherwise, I think it is fine.

The characters themselves are pretty cheap (especially compared to other fighters, so them offering a bundle if you want to buy everything is not terrible. But, i agree it isnt worth it.
I would stick to the characters if i were you.

Street Fighter X Tekken, the one that everyone hated for the DLC characters, had 12 for $20.

I doubt that Nintendo will have 12 characters in a bundle for $20.

Err... yeah, and they were locked on the disc. Don't go there.

Ryu is $6 because you also get his stage and stages are priced at $2.
