Too many using Amazon as a gauge for success? Currently, it sits at #4 on Amazon US, which sounds fantastic, but then you look at #5, which is Bloodborne that released two months ago and #6 which is Destiny for One that released about 8 months ago.
Why am I using Amazon US? It's by far the biggest market and it is also where people will have to pay more to get the same game for some reason, I also think that this might be the region that will hurt first week potential the most due to this.
I wish people would stop with the Amazon stuff; baby seals are dying by the hundreds.
Seriously though; it should do pretty well, there is a huge marketing push. What I'm more concerned about is longevity, whether people will still be playing this a lot in a year or so, this will be a massive decided when it comes to the game's legs since it won't do to have new customers join an online community that isn't active and if the game fails to sell really well over the first few months, this community won't be very big to begin with.
So, I'm thinking a good first month, followed by a rather slow summer and a decent holiday and then all but gone next year.

I don't see it bombing, but I don't think it will go over 800K, and I think that's an optimistic prediction honestly, but I'm seeing a ton of people saying stull like it will sell 2.5 million units.

Yeah, that's my opinon on it as well.

To be fair, the games you listed got substantial price cuts recently, so it's not like they're just chilling at the top for no reason.

So what 250,000 WW LTD?
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]
3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m
I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]
Because of the COMG thread. People have now to high hopes for the game.

I know that, but I don't think they're selling huge numbers regardless at this point. Especially Destiny belongs in a genre that is typically front-loaded.
My main point is that Amazon is a very poor gauge for how a game will do in actual sales, especially past first week and in addition, this is a time when there really isn't anything else on the horizon causing ripples to measure against. A good first week seems almost given with the marketing push, but like I wrote in my first post; I don't think it will have great legs.
New IPs have not done very well on Wii U. If it does sell very well without being bundled it will be an outlier. I suppose selling well is pretty subjective, so it might sell well to some.
Its like £29 here in UK that's like what 20 dollars or something? Seems pretty cheap to me
