Forums - Gaming Discussion - Stop Picking On VGC And Leave ioi Alone

Meh, it's his job and the site SAYS "VG-CHARTZ" as in Chartz. Fudge that, he deserves all of it. If I'm at work doing a shitty job, my boss is not going to say, well lets just leave him alone, he will eventually figure it out or ruin our whole company. No he would fire my ass. I thought this was joke thread.

This is horrible customer service as us who visit pay the damn bills.

I completely disagree. I don't care who is going to win, I want numbers because that's what I like. He provides entertainment as service, if that said service is doing a horrible job, well people will always complain and have every right.

Than you went off on a massive story of why you want everyone else to justify a absolute pathetic job of providing entertainment and why people came here in the first place.

I don't go to the other sites, I come here for a reason, the damn numbers. I don't care if it's for a new game, to just check up on how the xbox is holding etc... That was the whole point of this site. You act like people debating sales was a bad thing, it wasn't, it's also not bad to want to track your console of choice, losing or not.

People just like the numbers, is that really to hard to understand?

Eh, I kinda disagree with the thread title (not even gonna comment on the text in your post though bhr, it's wrong and incomprehensible like usual).

I completely understand why people are frustrated - I'm even more frustrated - especially after we assured things would get back on track but obviously haven't. It's really disappointing.

So I think it is important that Brett realises that the community is worried/annoyed/disappointed, I just think that that frustration should be directed constructively to Brett, because then something might change, rather than cluttering up the forum with endless threads.

Please explain to us how to cunstructively direct this at Brett. Writing "Do something! Anything!" on his website is pretty much the only thing we can do.

Unless you have a home address.

Yeah perhaps this is why I don't care about sales much, although this was the case before XB1/PS4 released.

Well i mean vgc is build around sales and got big because of it now we dont even know if the sales will ever come back to normal and that sucks.

That being said i am still here because of the great community.

Call me skeptical but I doubt privately writing an email directly to him will speed things up in any way. Rallying up the whole userbase however...

I remember the times when the weekly sales were still updated regularly (which isn't that long ago). The discussions were first and foremost about how wrong VGC is going to be. So if the accuracy is questioned to such a degree, it's puzzling that there's suddenly so much demand to get those numbers. Especially because Amazon has surfaced as a quite accurate prediction tool for US sales while the rest of the world is an easy PS4 victory. And nobody cares about handhelds anyway.

God forbid people actually discuss sales on a sales website. The thing that bothers me most isn't that the sales are ~3 months behind while still advertising this site as a gaming site focusing on sales,

but people on these forums determining what other people come on this site for and if that is sales well they're irrelevant or in a minority.

People are complaining, but I would call it "picking on ioi".
They are simply dissatisfied with the business they are frequenting - and the business owner must hear the displeasure of his target market.
The same as you would complain to the butcher if he has no meat, or in the bakery without bread and cakes.

But, I do agree that it is pointless to continue making complaint threads, as it's obvious that the business owner has no interest in hearing those complaints and addressing them at all. We did.get his personal post on the issue about two months ago, and a "PR fluff piece" from a mod last month.
But until the issue is publicly acknowledged on the front page for all visitors to see, a doubt about site's future and owner's interest in it will linger...

At this point, I settle for numbers every month even if they're taken from NPD and the japanese sale charts.

I haven't heard anything from Brett from around the beginning of March.
