Ignoring that this is a tech demo running on 4 GTX Titan X's (which on their own would cost 10 times more than a PS4), i don't think it makes for a particularly good example in this thread. It's a stunningly detailed model, but animation wise (both facial and in general) it doesn't present much that both ND and SE couldn't replicate relatively easily in a similar context on the PS4 or X1.

In my eyes they're definitely the best in the business when it comes to facial animation tech on consoles, but i'm more interested in their in-game contextual animation system. Now there's something that really feels 'next-gen'.

Oh wow, literally not even in the same ball park as Naughty Dog. I guess you are probably refering to Squares CG videos they put out last year?

Would be particularly impressive if it turns out that UC4's cut-scenes are indeed 100% real-time (vs those in UC3 which were pre-rendered on a PS3 cluster).

well the transition from cut scene to real time at the start of the demo suggests so. but its a year or so away and things can change. but yeah the leap is more impressive if you look at a gameplay shot from uncharted 3.

I have to disagree about SE and Uncharted. I think SE is great when it comes to GCI, some of the best really, but i cant think of anything that looks as good as this. Tomb Raider may prove otherwise though. Maybe

Tech demo on Windows 10 + DirectX 12, along with powerfull overclocked CPU, and a few Titan GTX's in SLI.

Still... it looks insanely good :) best looking FF ever.
