The Seattle Mariners‘ baseball stadium, Safeco Field, in Washington is currently emblazoned with adverts for Splatoon. The ads’ placements aren’t a complete shocker, though, as the Mariners are owned by Nintendo of America. Nonetheless, it’s still pretty cool to see promotional artwork from the upcoming Wii U game pop up on TV as you’re watching a baseball match in the Mariners’ territory. Splatoon is set to launch on May 29th.

I think usually if baseball clubs have japanese players the japanese audience would probably tend to watch the team. Seattle did have Ichiro for awhile back in the day.

Yeah. Hiroshi Yamauchi bought them a while ago. Nintendo owns a professional sports team. He left the team to Nintendo after he passed, bless his soul.

OT Its great to see them do this kind of stuff. I also saw the Splatoon commercial the other day and it looks really nice. Glad to see Nintendo advertise this game.

The Japanese part just reads "Splatoon" and "Nintendo"

Kind of wish part of it wasn't in Japanese but whatever. Its nice, although a banner ad at a baseball game isn't exactly breaking the bank or a major push to breach the masses that are seeing Jason all over the MKX ads.
