My first impression: Gyro sucks. I'm using dual analog. No Pro Controller support = no buy. The second screen is literally useless. Detrimental, even. There were connection issues, but that's due to the traffic, which will not be there when people aren't all playing at the same hour.

The game was fun, but with it being an hour slice, it couldn't possibly hope to silence my worries. About lack of content.

The minigame was honestly as entertaining as that game. Playing a minima while the match sets up is genius. It's an awesome additi- Oh, wait. Please don't tell me it's fucking tied to amiibo. Of course it is.

Hey, relax. Squid jump is free i believe XD. Let's hope there are amiibo cards for splatoon too (or maybe they make enough).

Oh and about internet issues, the only error I got was at the start where we enter the game(tried like 7 times to enter) but "In" the game, no lag/delay whatsoever, and I only have a 3Mbps connection.

I actually thought the second screen was pretty useful for planning where you should go and who needs back up. I did die a lot though so I had more time to look at it lol.

Yea sniper was hard for me to get the hang of. I'll keep trying though.

They can often get a surprise kill on you. Some of them were just hiding in little puddles and came out when you were in front of them. Or they just roll over you from the back. But yeah, they're easy to kill.

Of course, if they surprise you it's an instakill, but they're really easy to avoid. Just keep your distance and shoot, they can't do anything. The game seems rather well balanced to me, other than snipers being really bad.

Snipers won't be bad during Splatzone and the Tower defense game.

I actually like the gyro controls here. Of course I still prefer analog sticks, but I wouldn't mind playing with gyro if I had to. I got to play close to 20 matches. I was already set on buying Splatoon, but this just made it a must have for me. My favorite weapon was probably the roller, even if it is a tad bit overpowered in some respects.

bet: lost

I thought it was great! I was amazed by how the game runs and plays so smoothly. One thing that I hope is in the full version is the ability to change the controls, so that you don't have to use motion controls to control the camera. Other than that, it was so great!

Going to be playing again tomorrow!

I belive that Squid Jump, Squidball, Squid Racer and Squid Beatz are free while a fifth will be unlocked after completing all challenges (including amiibo challenges)

EDIT: Or maybe I'm wrong...there seem to be conflicting reports

Since many missed this: on the screen where you select weapon, press the + to go the the control menu.

And i like how when the two rollers from seperate teams bump to each other they both die

Or if you hit behind them, they only they die? I didnt try that, but i do know that if they are a squid, only them can die.

Pocky Lover Boy!
