Tutorial Update: Added Platform Totals/Game Totals!

Perhaps a little bit late to say this, but nice job! Very nicely set up and very clear. Actually taught me how to embed! :D

I don't know if it's the right thread to ask something, but maybe you could put this question in the FAQ.
I wanted to know if it's possible to remove some threads in the VGChartz Buddy. I posted a bit so I have a few threads listed on it but there are some which won't be updated again (like old MediaCreate threads), and I didn't find where to remove them. I've read the full tutorial and didn't find an answer.

As far as I know, you cannot actually remove threads from your VGChartz Buddy. However, since it shows the most recent threads, they will eventually be bumped out when there are no more responses for those threads.

Kapi's method works just as well, but I'd recommending using a Image Hosting Site (Imgur, Flickr, Tinypic, Puush, etc.) to upload your images so you can use the simple method of adding the url instead.

But yes, the drag and drop method does create a crazy long code.. 1 image's code is so long that I don't even want to post an example :p

Right, so creating a countdown clock for forum posts and signatures.

iFrame code and Ajax code will not work on the forums (2 common ways to embed dynamically updating content). BBCode would only give us a static image that refreshes every time the page is refreshed. What you are looking for here is Flash code. Flash code used to work on the forums while using the "embed media" button, but it no longer does. Here is an alternate method while using the same code.

It's simple really. Go to any website that lets you create and customize your own Flash countdown timer (I used http://flash-clocks.com/countdown-generator.html). Most of these will provide you with a Flash HTML code when prompted. Simply create your timer, click the "provide HTML code" (or whatever it is) button and copy and paste the shown code where ever you want to place it (be it a post or a signature).

Voila! Fairly simple stuff, we just needed to do the job of the embed media button by copying and pasting the code ourselves. Please note however that only Flash countdowns will work.
