Forums - Gaming Discussion - Longest total time PLAYED in one game?

Xenoblade Chronicles-300 hours and counting from 2 full Wii play-throughs and now about a 4th of the way through the 3DS port.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time-I've played it so many times that I'm definitely in the 150 hour range.

Fire Emblem: Awakening-130 hours from 2 play throughs.

The Sims and The Sims 2 were both probably in the hundreds of hours back in the day.

Probably Super Smash Bros Brawl which I played pretty much every week for over 6 years (Until the arrival of Smash for Wii U).

I don't know the the amount of hours but I've already played the Wii U game for over 150 hours in a couple of months. I estimate somewhere between 1000-1500 hours.

NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, WiiU, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Mega Drive, Game Gear, PS1, PS2, PSP, XBOX 360, Atari Lynx

Diablo II with somewhere around 2000 hours. Unreal Tournament would also be quite high, at least 1000. Baldur's Gate II is likely in the 1000 region as well since I've replayed it several times.

Played NBA Live '95 and NBA Live '96 for whole 2 years on my Mega Drive. 500+ hours each I think.

Grand Theft Auto V takes the cake with around 1300 hours.

Really not sure. Probably Pokemon Red, but I have no idea how much. From games that track it, it's Pokemon Pearl with ~400 hours. Also have around 350 hours in Twilight Princess and Brawl. Also every mainline Pokemon game is over 100 hours like another one here said too.

But I have no idea about some games like Spyro (the first two) on the PS1. That is so long ago that I just know I played them a lot, over and over.

Yep.

There was a thread like this not so long ago, but I'll say here what I said there.

I've been continuesly playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 and SimCity 4 since their releases in 2002 and 2004 respectively, almost without pause. I've played them so much, that they've got to be totalling thousands, probably over ten-thousand hours now. Another contestent would be Anno 1602 which should also be easily a couple thousand. Too bad games like that don't track time.

Of those that do track time, I've clocked about 6-700 hours in Anno 1404 (one profile at over 100, one at over 500) and 200 in Empire Total War. The first Rome is probably more though, maybe Medieval as well, but I can't know sadly. Another game that should have a similar amount of playtime is Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. It keeps time and it's a 40-60 hour game, which I completed five times.

Come to think of it, why I consider myself a console/Nintendo gamer first and foremost is beyond me, as no console game will come close to those kind of numbers . Maybe Mario Kart 64, Pokemon Blue or Ocarina of Time (64, GC and 3D combined and only because I completed it six times total) stands a chance, or Guitar Hero if I'd combine the franchise. 3 and Metallica should be over a hundred hours, 4 maybe nearing that number, but I barely played 5 and 6 and don't own any of the others.
