Forums - Sony Discussion - Let's end the bickering and just predict, The Order 1886 sales and meta, how high will they be?

Meta:74
LT sales:2-3 million

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

LTS : 1.9 million

Ok, time for my own prediction

Meta: 72-77 (quite the range but I really don't want to make this more accurate)

Sales: I'd say about 600k first week. Everything after that is really hard judge imo, since it really depends on the reception of the game and wether or not Sony decides to become somewhat aggressive with the bundling for this game, but here's how I see this at the moment:

The Order has been according to developer comments planned as a series from the start, also the game took almost 5 years to make, so it should be fair to assume that there's quite the investment behind hit. Now if the game turns out good and is well received and manages to sell well on its own and make its money back then that's great, the foundation for a sequel is laid, everyone's happy.

But what happens if that's not the case? If the game is destroyed by critics and if sales become sluggish after launch? Will Sony want to continue the franchise in that case? And will they resort to bundling to get the game into as many hands as possible before the sequel hits? I believe they will want to do both of these things.

Oh also it depends on if Sony manages to whip out a good marketing campaign for the game as well, it definitely hasn't been great until now, but maybe the TV spots and the launch trailer will really hit home.

Anyway long story short

2m at the end of 2015
3-4m lifetime.

If Sony can't market effectively steampunk London, interesting looking guns and werewolves they should give up.

2-3m sales, 75-85 meta.

81 meta
1.8 m lifetime

67 meta
600k FW
2.3 million LTD

82 Meta.

450.000 units First Week.

1.9-2.1 million LTD.

Biggest complaints will be linear, not open world and cutscenes, although once MGS comes out the cutscene excuse will vanish and once God of War released the linear and not open world excuses will as well.

68 Meta and 2M+ lifetime sales because journalists are dumb as the average gamer doesn't want everything wide open like GTA, RDR and/or inFamous.

Now:

A.) I hope I am way off on both predictions and it is actually more like 76+ and 2.5M+

B.) This helps to offset the predictions of 90+ and 5M+ that haters will hang on as we move forward.
