I'm an undercover optimist with Splatoon. There's a tiny part of me, not yet touched by the shadowy arms of videogame cynicism, that thinks that Splatoon has the building blocks to be the next Mario Kart/Smash Bros. Nintendo block buster. Then that shadowy figure whispers in its ear "It should have been a Mario Paintball game" and then "500K by years end."

Then it laughs maliciously.

Does it have a release date

Not even gonna try until we see more promo. The latest trailer had a cool (albeit trippy) tone/style. So that could go somewhere. But it's a very tough call right now. I do think it has potential, especially if bundled.

I'm gonna be a tiny bit ballsy here: 2mil by year end.

My guess is 400k. I also think if bundles are included, its going to be the only thing that can make it go past that
