so the 50 bucks (40 euro in europe) promotion for ps+ member does not set the world on fire
some1 think the game can recover from this fiasco?

Racing games strong in Europe.. flops in US.

That is for all racing games

Fifth is a flop lol, sooner or later you got to wrap your mind around the differences in markets. Else next you will claim a fps is a flop for a low top ten Japan rankings.  5th in US for a Euro content have racer is prety damn good considering the games above.

Lol I love the pushed agenda.

First of all it was 50$ in the US, 40€ in EU. Second of all it's amazing that it debuts at #1 in EU, shows that digital sales are strong when it sells more than the bigger game Shadow of Mordor and arguably The Evil Within.
It's also not a surprise that a racing game does good in Europe, and struggles in NA, that's how the market and fanbases look like for quite some time.
So sales wise it's far from a fiasco, given the drama surrounding the release it's doing surprisingly good.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Fifth is a flop? No charting is a flop but not a 5th place.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Wow, now placing fifth behind four great games is considered a flop. Espe ially when no numbers are given...
Alien Isolation must have bombed twice as hard then...

Disregarding the nonsense in the OP, it is great to see some excellent games getting the sales they deserve, Mirdor, Evil Within, Aluen and of course Driveclub...

In related news, FIFA flops in the US, and NBA flops in the UK.

Who would have expected that lunacy....

If all games flopped this hard what would we do? /Jk

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

OP needs to learn that european countries doesn't have the same exactly taste as NA's.

look to FIFA/MADDEN sales for example
