Forums - Sales Discussion - There IS a $50 Pricedrop coming for XB1!

Kmart, Bestbuy and Target all have november sales that mark at least $50 off the console.

Most include a free game too.

Now is not the time to buy.

The fire sale begins. MS and retailers must be really scared that the X1 is ready to falter

Firesale? Do you know what that word means? A 12.5% retailer cut is not a firesale, stop with the hyperbowl.

How about flop or bomba?

It's BOMBA territory for sure.

Especially when you consider the original price.

Damn Microsoft losing marketshare and money with the Xbox one. The shareholders can't be happy about this. All these price cuts and free games promotions remind me of Sega back in the day trying to remain competitive against Sony and Nintendo with little success.

Once they drop there's no going back. I'm expecting basic XB1 at $349, regular bundles at $399 (e.g. AC:U + BF is $399), and COD 1TB bundle will be $499 initially and $449 after a short time.

MS really wants to win November in US, and might just do it if Sony doesn't respond with a $50 cut or free games bundled at $399.

Nah... will probabily happen next March-April.

Apparently everyone missed the "Sale" note at the bottom. This isn't a price drop per say... big box retailers do deals like this all the time... stores like Target usually offer a free gift card as a promotion when buying certain consoles or games during a particular week.

Edit:  And stores have done this for ALL consoles... Wii U (several times I might add), 3DS, hell even PS4.

But yeah, keep calling it a "price drop" or "firesale"...

No it's not a "price drop" yet, but there is no going back.  Sales die after prices go back, just like they did after the March sales, so these "sale" prices will become official price drops soon enough.

No, but we will see various retailers offering Xbox Ones 50 bucks cheaper than the MSRP. I suspect a official price cut to come sometime next year.

Probably in Q2 of next year. MS should be on a roll for the next couple of months.

K-Marts are closing down left and right. There will be no K-Marts by the time this ad hits.

This comment beats the whole thread!

It is near the end of the end....

$400 to $350 is bomba territory? No.
