Forums - Sales Discussion - There IS a $50 Pricedrop coming for XB1!

January 2014, $500. June 2014, $400. November 2014, $350.

I'll just wait for 2015 at this point since the price seems to constantly drop.

If it doesn't work out I expect a $300 or lower XBone at some point next year, not to mention it shows MS doesn't have much confidence in their product if they feel the need to consistently drop the price. Of course IF this price drop holds firm after this deal, but I am willing to wait to find that out at this point considering the way 2014 has played out.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

If they're gonna do a pricedrop, it should be for $100 or don't bother and just add stuff to the bundles.

$299 is the price I have been saying for a while now.

I agree, the sooner M$ gets there, the better.

It is near the end of the end....

The fire sale begins. MS and retailers must be really scared that the X1 is ready to falter

Firesale? Do you know what that word means? A 12.5% retailer cut is not a firesale, stop with the hyperbowl.

I dont think there is any doubt that MS will go down hard this xmas.

Fixed it for you.

They've been going hard, giving away free stuff, slashing prices, disKinecting accessories, taking huge losses along the way, and all they achieved is to fall further behind competition every single week.

I expect them to go even harder this holiday season, and PS4 to increase the lead even more. People just know which console is better, and no amount of deals, bribes and giveaways can pursuade them to choose a lesser product.

How about flop or bomba?

This goes for PS4 as well. As good as PS4 is selling, I think the market for $399+ consoles is still limited, and the $299 mark will show everyone how gigantic gen8 can be. i think X1 is $249 or less by summer '16 as well. When sub-20nm gets rolling from TSMC in bulk, that will really hit hard for revised versions. $199 or less end of gen is also easily possible.

Not that either, it's competitive.

At this rate by 2016 they will be giving them away.
