All of Sony is worth less than 18 billion. It is quite possible for the ps brand to be 5b.

While if the gaming division was sold, it should (not to be confused with would) go for a bit more, but in terms of percentage of the company it is most likely a less than 20% of the total company.

$18b is their market cap, not their linear worth.

$18b is their market cap, not their linear worth.

Market cap is still good idea of what the market thinks sony is worth. However I think the company is no where near worth 50 billion (Namely since the decline of in the 00s) or that Sony Playstation Brand is worth 25 Billion.

That 18b number is meaningless to SCE worth.  If say tommorow they were to decide to sale PS and all its assets.  It would fetch massive amounts of money, more then that 18b.   

A few key PS ips would be worth 5b if they wanted to sale them.

No, as Most of sony is worthless.  What Sony as a whole is worth is meingless to what individual parts could fetch.
