They publish for other platforms too. Can't have Nintendo buy every single third party dev that releases on their consoles.

As of right now, no. Only NNA is going to the PS4, and that may be to try and test out the waters and see if it will match the WiiU returns. Shin'en has a very good rep amongst Nintendo users but I don't think they are very well known, if at all, anywhere else.

Nintendo should at least help them with marketing of FAST Racing NEO. I fear it will drown in all the eshop indies that are coming. We need some HYPE now!

They promoted NNAssault, and that sold very well. I don't expect them not to promote Art of Balance and Fast Neo when they are nearing launch and on launch. NNAssault was front and center when it launched on the eShop.
Short of making commercials for it what else can they do?

I believe that is the effect of the waterfall. It's a brown area. I'm sure there will be good things later.
The waterfall may not be colorful, but it's still beautiful.
