I believe that without the 3D the 3DS would be crushed by the competition and some people are allways complaining about the 3D screen but thats not the real innovation, its the 3D-slider...

I less think they should, but would love if they did. Would absolutely pay a premium price if they would go with a cheaper 2D model and a more expensive 3D model from the start as has been suggested before.

3D is a waste of resources. On the 3DS games look much better in 2D since this setting doubles the display resolution. Also it is really hard and annoying to play in 3D, if you move the system one tiny little bit while playing, you loose the effect.

Nintendo has noc hoice but to use it like they did in the 3DS, since they can't just abbandon "innovations" (it can be argued if it is actually one or not). As long as their is a depth slide, Im fine.  I myself never used 3D once, except for at a gamestop demo station

No, if the 3DS didn't have 3D (DS 2?) then it would probably have graphics as good as Vita

Not to mention eye strains if you move it
